ECO FRIENDLY PAPER
The art of handmade paper/Eco-friendly paper was revived under the inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation during the freedom movement. Due to the financial, technological and marketing assistance extended by khadi and V.I. Commission during the last four decades, today, the handmade paper industry is one of the important industries under the Indian village industries sector. The industry has more then 350 working units producing over Rs.43 crore worth of paper and paper products.

Handmade paper is a layer of entwined fibres and is held together by the natural bonding properties of cellulose fibres. The basic raw material being cotton rags, hosiery cuttings and recycled handmade paper itself. The process is devoid of any addition of acids. Therefore it is 100% percent effluent free and does not create any air or water pollution. The paper has a wide and facinating range such as silky, silk mottled, agro mottled, bagasse, moonrock, leather finish, wood finish, marbled, drawing paper which are exclusive by the addition of various external materials such as silk threads, agro waste (Flower petals, grass, coir, jute, straw, tea dust etc.) and/or by giving different kinds of textures and shades etc.
